Set-up a decade ago, Factory 798, a largely abandoned military electronics complex on the fringe of Beijing has become China's premier hub of contemporary art and is now the third most visited attraction in Beijing after the Great Wall and Forbidden City. The Sohoesque complex is a warren of contemporary art housing over 50 galleries and art centers of varying sizes and includes an eclectic mix of bookshops, cafes, and restaurants.
